Privacy policy

A plain account of what this site collects and what happens to it.

Effective November 6, 2026 · Last updated November 6, 2026

The short version
  • We collect what you enter in the AI Workflow Audit and the Readiness Scorecard, and what you send us by email.
  • Adam uses it to follow up with you. There is no mailing list and no automated sequence.
  • We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
  • We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used. Visitors in Europe are asked first, and anyone can switch them off.
  • Ask, and we will show you what we hold about you or delete it.

Who we are

metanola.ai is run by Metanola LLC, an independent AI advisory practice in New Orleans, Louisiana, led by Adam Wood. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Metanola LLC.

This policy covers the website and the messages you send us through it. Paid client work is covered by the agreement for that engagement.

What we collect

  • Audit and Scorecard entries: your name, your email address, your organization if you add it, the answers you choose, any notes you type, and the result the tool shows you.
  • Emails you send to adam@metanola.ai, including anything you choose to put in them.
  • Usage data: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record the pages you view, the site that sent you, your device, browser and approximate location, and how you scroll and click. Clarity can replay a visit as a recording. It hides what you type into forms, and on the Audit and Scorecard pages it hides all text.
  • Server logs: like any web host, Netlify records technical details such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Settings saved in your browser: the NYC map setting and your privacy choice stay on your own device and are never sent to us.

We do not ask for payment details, government ID numbers or health information on this site. Please leave sensitive details out of the forms and your emails.

How we use it

  • To reply to you and prepare for a conversation you asked for.
  • To see which pages are useful and improve the site.
  • To keep the site secure and working.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not add you to any list.

How we use AI tools

We are an AI advisory practice, and we use AI in our own work. When you send an Audit, a Scorecard or an email, we may use an AI assistant, currently Claude by Anthropic, to organize your inquiry and draft a reply.

Adam reads every inquiry and reviews every reply before it goes out. Nothing is sent to you automatically. Where a provider lets us choose, we use settings that keep your information out of model training.

Who handles your information

A small set of service providers run the site and our inbox. They process information on our behalf and only to provide their service.

  • Netlify hosts the site, keeps server logs, and stores form submissions, which it screens for spam.
  • Google provides our email and the script that delivers Audit and Scorecard results to Adam’s inbox and adds a follow-up reminder to his calendar.
  • Google Analytics measures visits and how pages are used. Its advertising features are turned off.
  • Microsoft Clarity shows how pages are used through heatmaps and session recordings.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, so your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
  • Notion holds our notes on inquiries and client work.
  • Anthropic provides the AI assistant described above.

We share information beyond these providers only when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy still applies to it. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-site advertising.

Cookies and tracking

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies to tell visits apart and to recognize a returning browser. We use no advertising pixels, and we keep the advertising features in both tools turned off.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these tools stay off until you agree. Everywhere else they are on by default, and you can switch them off at any time with Privacy choices, at the bottom of every page.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to switch these tools off. Do Not Track has no agreed standard, so we rely on Global Privacy Control and your choice here. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-site advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep Audit and Scorecard submissions and inquiry emails for 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless you become a client. Client records follow the terms of the engagement and any legal requirements.

Google Analytics keeps visit data for up to 14 months. Microsoft Clarity keeps session recordings for 30 days and heatmap and summary data for 9 months.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and send you a copy.
  • Correct it.
  • Delete it.
  • Stop contacting you.

Email adam@metanola.ai with the subject “Privacy request.” We will confirm the request is yours, usually by replying to the address we have on file, and respond within 30 days. You will never be treated differently for asking.

If we turn down a request, we will explain why. Reply to appeal, and Adam will review it personally and answer within 45 days. If you disagree with the outcome, you can contact the attorney general in your state.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, and access to your information is limited to Adam and the providers listed above, with strong sign-in protection on those accounts. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

This site is meant for adults and organizations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States. Our providers handle information here and in other countries. By using the site, you understand that your information is handled in the United States.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also say so here for at least 30 days, and we will not use information we already hold in a materially different way without asking you first.

Contact

Questions about this policy or your information go to Adam Wood, who reads every note.
